Maria is a dedicated and results-driven lawyer with a broad background in legal and commercial matters.

Prior to being admitted, Maria spent several years as a paralegal, building a solid foundation in legal research, case preparation, and client support. She then joined the Administrative Review Tribunal as an Associate and was shortly after paired with Senior Member Lazanas as a Senior Associate. During her time at the Tribunal, Maria gained hands-on experience in the intricacies of taxation objections and the administrative review process.

Expanding into the financial side of legal practice, Maria worked as a Senior Consultant in indirect tax at an international accounting firm. This role sharpened her analytical skills and provided valuable insight into the intersection of tax law and commercial operations, together with the interaction of financial and taxation matters and legal liabilities.

Since joining Hallcross Legal, Maria has worked across all areas of the practice, with a specific interest in  commercial litigation and insolvency, advising clients across various industries on disputes, restructuring, and recovery strategies. Known for her pragmatic approach and strong advocacy, Maria is committed to delivering strategic solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
