Michael has a focus on insolvency, restructuring and commercial litigation and has acted across a broad spectrum of commercial matters. His experience spans across complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution, recoveries and all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency (including bankruptcy, liquidation, administration, receivership, restructuring). He has appeared in various judicial forums (including the Local, District, Supreme Courts and the Federal Courts of Australia) and in alternative dispute resolution settings.Over the years, Michael has acted for a number of liquidators, bankruptcy trustees, high net worth individuals, property developers, company directors, ASX listed entities and real estate trusts.Michael previously spent several years as a senior associate at a national Australian Firm’s Sydney insolvency and restructuring practice. During that time Michael obtained an advanced accreditation in insolvency from the University of Technology of Sydney. Michael’s other private practice experiences includes several years working in other well-known Sydney firms where he obtained valuable experience in litigation and general commercial law. Michael is highly regarded for his pragmatic approach, commercial acumen and comprehensive industry knowledge obtained through years of running complex litigation, but also real world experience in assisting clients through the process of contested matters. Michael enjoys assisting clients achieve the best possible outcome and navigating them through the complex nature of legal proceedings with a simplistic approach.

Sofia is currently studying a Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws at the Australian Catholic University. With experience in business administration and client interactions coupled with exceptional academic achievements, Sofia is able to apply her legal and interpersonal skills to ensure that work undertaken for clients, is comprehensive, meticulous and to the highest standards.

Sofia was awarded a spot on the Executive Dean’s Commendations list at the ACU, recognising her outstanding academic performance, which subsequently led to her nomination and membership to the Golden Key Honour Society at ACU.
